Qerie is a service of Wawayaro GmbH. The incorporation of a separate Qerie GmbH is in preparation.
When using the website: When the website is accessed, technically necessary data is transmitted to the server (IP address, timestamp, page accessed, browser type). This data is processed exclusively for operating the website and ensuring security.
When registering: Email address, optional name. Authentication is handled via Magic Link — no password is stored.
When using Qerie as an organizer: Study data (core questions, settings), invitation data (names and email addresses of participants, if provided), condensed summaries of conversations.
When participating in a conversation: Conversation content (questions and answers), timestamps, consent data. Participants may take part anonymously — name and email are optional.
Personal data is processed on the basis of the following legal grounds:
If you sign up for the Qerie waitlist, we process your email address solely for the purpose of notifying you about the product launch.
Legal basis: Consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR.
Consent is confirmed via a double opt-in process. The timestamp of confirmation and a hash of your IP address are stored as proof.
Retention period: Until you withdraw consent or until the waitlist is deleted after launch. You may unsubscribe at any time via the unsubscribe link in the email or by contacting [email protected] .
Unconfirmed entries are automatically deleted after 7 days.
To provide the Service, we use the following sub-processors:
Hetzner Cloud — (hosting, Germany) — servers in Nuremberg / Falkenstein, German company.
Supabase — (database and authentication, EU region Frankfurt) — US company with EU data localisation. Data processing agreement in place.
Anthropic — (AI conversation guidance) — US company. Processing based on a Data Processing Agreement (DPA). Conversation content is not used for model training. The third-country transfer is based on the EU Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
Email delivery — for invitations and notifications. Resend (Strikingly, Inc., USA)
Conversation transcripts: Automatically deleted after 30 days. Only the condensed summaries are retained.
Condensed summaries: Retained for as long as the associated study is active. When a study is deleted, summaries are deleted as well.
Consent logs: Retained for 3 years for legal reasons, then deleted.
Account data: After cancellation, the account remains reactivatable for 30 days (Free) or 60 days (Pro/Team). After that, all data is completely and irrevocably deleted.
Under the GDPR, you have the following rights:
To exercise your rights, contact [email protected]. In the dashboard under Settings → Privacy you can export your data and delete your account.
Qerie uses only technically necessary cookies for authentication and session management. No tracking cookies, analytics tools, or advertising networks are used.
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority if you believe that the processing of your data violates the GDPR.
We reserve the right to update this Privacy Policy as needed — in particular when changes to the Service, infrastructure, or legal situation require it. The current version is always available on this page.
Qerie is currently operated by Wawayaro GmbH. The incorporation of a separate entity for Qerie is in preparation. This page will be updated accordingly.
